Recreation is an integral component of life in our suburban communities. You will not have to go far to find just what you’re looking for, whether it’s a beautiful park, an active playing field, a bike or walking path, a water park or pond, an outdoor music venue or even a skate park. Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts in our communities lead to a higher quality of life and happier, healthier residents.

Recreational opportunities are available for all types of activity levels. Kettering, Moraine and Oakwood each have their own recreation centers equipped for daily workouts, classes and team sports. Ice skating and hockey are available in the winter and outdoor water parks are perfect for hot sunny days.

Golfers can take advantage of the many world class golf courses in the region, such as NCR Country Club’s South Course which recently played host to the US Senior Open. This course is also the site of the KMO Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing. A sell-out event, the scramble begins in the morning, followed by an awards dinner at the nineteenth hole. Members of the Chamber volunteer and participate in this popular event, providing a great networking opportunity for golf enthusiasts.
